The master window switch is the multi-button panel in the driver door that controls every window in the vehicle, plus the door locks, the power mirrors and the window lockout. It is also called the driver side power window switch, the master control switch, or the door switch bezel.
How to tell your master switch has failed
- One or more windows only work from the driver panel, or only from the passenger door
- Nothing responds from the driver panel but individual doors still work
- Intermittent operation, sticky buttons, or dead illumination
Ordering tips
Match the button layout and the connector on the back of the switch, and confirm whether your vehicle has power folding mirrors, memory seats or auto up/down on more than one window. These options change the part number even within the same model year.
